Cooperativa Integral Agricola Chicoj was established 40 years ago by a group of small farmers in the Chicoj region of Central Guatemala. The Co-op members joined forces to give the group better access to coffee markets and the ability to negotiate better pricing. All contributing farms share equal ownership in the Co-op, each contributing to not only cherry but also to the coffee processing and operations.

Agricola Chicoj is also committed to environmental sustainability, boasting 7 certifications including Organic and Fairtrade. Once cherry reaches the Co-op it is hand sorted to remove any under-ripe of defective coffee. This particular lot has then been dried with cherry intact to enhance fruity flavours.
